Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lawrence Senior Support LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a Kansas limited liability company. By accessing our website at lawrenceseniorsupport.com, submitting a consultation request, or using our companion care coordination services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
Description of Services
Lawrence Senior Support is a non-medical family care coordination platform. We coordinate professional 30-minute companion visits for seniors in Lawrence, Kansas and the surrounding Douglas County area. Our services include:
- Scheduling and coordinating companion visits on your behalf
- Matching your loved one with trained, vetted companions
- Providing written companion observation summaries after each visit
- Sending family updates and, where applicable, monthly wellness summaries
- Coordinating urgent notifications when a companion flags a concern
Our companions are not medical professionals. Companion visits do not constitute medical care, clinical assessment, nursing, home health services, or professional health evaluation of any kind. Companion observation summaries are informal, non-clinical companion records written in plain language — they are not medical reports, diagnoses, or clinical opinions.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to make care coordination decisions on behalf of the senior receiving visits to use our services. By submitting a consultation request or enrolling in a plan, you represent that you have such authority.
Consultation Requests
When you submit a consultation request through our website, you agree that the information you provide is accurate and complete. We will use this information solely to contact you regarding your inquiry, typically within 24 hours during business hours. Submitting a consultation request does not create a service agreement or obligation on either party.
Service Plans and Pricing
We offer companion visit plans on a monthly basis. Current plan options and pricing are displayed on our website and may be updated from time to time. Key terms:
- No long-term contracts: All plans are month-to-month. You may cancel at any time.
- Billing: Plans are billed monthly in advance. Payment is due at the beginning of each service period.
- Price changes: We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days’ written notice before the start of your next billing cycle.
- Missed visits: If a scheduled visit cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., the senior is unavailable, hospitalized, or traveling), we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule within the same billing period. Visits that cannot be rescheduled do not roll over to the next month.
Cancellation
You may cancel your plan at any time by contacting us via email at hello@lawrenceseniorsupport.com or by phone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months, except at our sole discretion. We may also discontinue service with 30 days’ written notice if we determine, in good faith, that we are unable to adequately serve your loved one’s needs.
Companion Conduct and Safety
All companions coordinated through Lawrence Senior Support are vetted and trained. However, companions are independent service providers, not employees of Lawrence Senior Support LLC. In the event of a concern regarding a companion’s conduct, please contact us immediately and we will investigate and take appropriate action, including reassignment if necessary.
In an emergency, companions are instructed to call 911 immediately. They will not attempt medical intervention. Following any emergency, our coordination team will notify you directly as soon as possible.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Kansas law:
- Lawrence Senior Support LLC provides care coordination services only. We do not provide medical care, clinical services, or professional health evaluations. We are not liable for medical outcomes, health changes, or conditions affecting your loved one.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, emotional distress, or loss of companionship, regardless of the theory of liability.
- Companion observation summaries are informal notes and should not be relied upon as medical assessments. If you have concerns about your loved one’s health, please consult a licensed medical professional.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lawrence Senior Support LLC, its members, employees, companions, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our services, or any misrepresentation you make regarding your authority to act on behalf of the senior receiving services.
Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, design, graphics, logos, and page layout — is the property of Lawrence Senior Support LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without our prior written consent.
Website Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon or restrict anyone else’s use of the website. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our website, servers, or systems. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website at our discretion.
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites (such as Google’s Privacy Policy). These links are provided for your convenience and do not imply endorsement. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party websites.
Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall be resolved as follows:
- Informal resolution: We encourage you to contact us first at hello@lawrenceseniorsupport.com so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.
- Mediation: If informal resolution is unsuccessful, either party may initiate mediation in Douglas County, Kansas, with costs shared equally.
- Litigation: If mediation fails, any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Douglas County, Kansas.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active clients via email. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
